Prehistoric
Duncan’s very large powder-blue egg hatches! And out pops, Prehistoric!
It appears that they are calling for rain this weekend. The weekend of the Riverdale Art Walk. Great. I pretty much like the rain, but my paintings don’t. The ones I will be showing this summer are surreal works and they are painted with gouache (gwash). Gouache is an opaque watercolour and is very water soluble. Like a dog, it loves the water.
Though my paintings are framed, they are not under glass. Instead, I coated them with several layers of varnish (which was tricky). Anyways, when the rain starts falling I’ll toss a charming plastic drop cloth over them – just in case.
