Tidal Bore Rafting

February 17, 2020

With groceries in hand, Addey hitched a ride back home.

A friend told me about a past vacation of hers where she was witness to a Tidal Bore. I have never really thought about them, much less seen one. So I looked on the internet and was amazed by how cool there are.

A tidal bore is a phenomenon in which a wave travels in the reverse direction of a river’s current. The gravitational effects of the moon cause it. [Wikipedia]. The Bay of Fundy’s Shubenacadie River in Nova Scotia, exhibits one.

So when I drew Addey the Otter well, it just made sense that she was to hitch a ride on one back to her burrow.
