Birds play a significant role in my drawing world. I don’t know why, except for that I find them to be entertaining and incredibly malleable. They lend themselves to become characters. They easily showcase a variety of human traits and behaviours.
Today’s drawing: Birdnest
I drew the bird first with her tucks and folds. Then I added the wrapped nest around her, which mimics her design. There is something about the mastery of the nest that allows her to be serene and nestled into her surroundings.
