I love this little drawing. It was initially titled “Spirit and Chief.” Spirit is the dog’s name. I re-titled it because of the Indigenous issues in Canada.
Even though the title was innocent enough, much like how children play, I have found myself sensitive to their cause and desire for respect and fairness. Hence, I changed the title.
As for buddies, I have two of my own. Emi and Blue. They are small but all dog. Lovely creatures. Best friends.
