When I was a kid, I would do yoga with my mom in her bedroom. It had a white shag carpet, and it was a very sunny room. I quite enjoyed doing this with her. I looked forward to that.
She says yoga “saved her life.” I can understand that. It allows for one to be focused, in the present, mindful of the body.
I have done yoga off and on throughout the years. These days I am meditating and running. I am a slower runner, but I usually do about eight km about four times a week. I typically have something on my mind like a problem, and I find by the middle to the end of my run, I have a solution.
I return from my run happier and connected to myself, which is what yoga does as well.
