Only two things in the entire world will make Lizardo move: a warm sunbeam and Payanas. But now there was a third.
I live on the East side of Lake Simcoe. I run down to the lake and back quite often. One of the things I check is the wind speed before I go. Some days the wind blows me right over. And especially this time of year. The winds are ‘screamin’, and the weather changes quickly.
It’s a time of rapid change, not only in the weather but in how we live our days. The light gets shorter; we have lots of outdoor chores; my workload has increased. Lots of change. But still only so many hours in the day. So some things we have to let go of to manage this change.
I have always been a big fan of Mutts by Patrick McDonnell. Yesterday’s comic was about the Fall. “Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.” I thought I would include it because we have such different interpretations of the Fall, but our sentiment is the same.
