InkTober 2021. Day 6.

The beakers used to be called “The Sticky Beaks.” They would just butt right into everyone’s business. Over time, their name morphed, as did the shape of their beak.

Now their bill this hooked due to the constant “nudging of things.”

By poking and prodding, they get things moved along. It could be anything really, something ethereal like an idea, the telling of a secret, or a confession.

It is best to be receptive to the gentle niggling of change. Otherwise, you will get the other end of a Beaker, and that is the stinger. And it is not pleasant, but it is effective.

The Beakers are not involved in what should happen. They do not tell you what you should do; they simply indicate that you should do something different. They are instruments of change.
