InkTober 2021. Day 24.
Old Edgar is a psychic. A seer with phenomenal ability. He understood at an early age that he had a gift. And that his power could be used for good or evil.
This wasn’t a hard decision for him, and that’s because he handily saw his future, one of helping others.
Old Edgar found himself a soft “ever-blossom” flower in the Southern Dale of the Knockwood Forest and set up shop. And soon they came, as he knew they would. Sometimes he would use Tarot cards, and on other days he would look upwards with his hand on his heart, feel his power and speak the words.
On this day, he saw Happy Bug, who was unhappy. And this was because she had talked with another group of prognosticators; the Razorback Bickering Clams.
“Those clams,” thought Edgar, shaking his head. But with that thought passing, he placed hand on heart, looked upward and spoke words of gentle kindness and hope. The notion of Happy Bug becoming unhappy was lifted, and with gratitude, she jumped off her flower and went along on her merry way.
Then came Timber, a large sad bear. He, too, had spoken with the Clams.
“The Clams were becoming a problem,” thought Old Edgar. But of course, he always knew this time would come. What he didn’t know was what to do about them, and this was the first time in his life he wasn’t able to see the future.
